Zeal Network has acquired the remaining 96.5 per cent stake in UK prize draw operator SevenCanyon for £33.8m, with the potential to reach £38.6m. The German online lottery broker announced the transaction on 9 July 2026, marking its expansion into the British prize draw sector.
Zeal Network previously held a 3.5 per cent ownership in SevenCanyon, which manages the 7days Performance, Redline Competitions and UK Carp Competitions brands. The acquisition is financed through a €40m, seven-year loan provided by Deutsche Bank. According to SevenCanyon’s Companies House filings for the fiscal year ending 31 March 2025, the operator recorded revenue of £98.3m, representing a 33.7 per cent increase from the prior year, while post-tax profit decreased by 14.2 per cent to £7.2m.
Strategic Outlook and Market Context
Zeal Network CEO Dr Stephan Tweraser stated: "SevenCanyon is one of the most successful prize draw operators in the UK – we have known them for years. With the acquisition, we hit the ground running in a highly attractive and growing market. We also accelerate the implementation of our strategy to selectively diversify our business model through new products and new markets." The group projects the acquisition will contribute mid-single-digit millions of euros to EBITDA during the first financial year, building on Zeal Network’s prior testing of prize draw mechanics in Germany.The UK prize draw industry is estimated at £1.3bn in annual value, engaging approximately 7.4 million adult participants nationwide. The sector operates outside the Gambling Commission’s regulatory framework, with companies adhering to a government-established voluntary code. Jumbo Interactive recently entered the same market segment, completing a £53.9m purchase of Dream Car Giveaways.
