Ainsworth Game Technology Receives $2.7m US Tariff Refund

Ainsworth Game Technology confirmed the receipt of a US$2.7m refund on June 30, 2026. The payment covers previously paid International Emergency Economic Powers Act (IEEPA) tariffs.

The reimbursement follows a February decision by the US Supreme Court. The court ruled that IEEPA lacks the authority to impose tariffs, making companies eligible for repayment. Ainsworth excluded this amount from its May trading update due to uncertainty regarding the timing and recoverable sums.

Updated Financial Outlook

The company stated that the June 30 payment represents substantially all of the IEEPA tariffs paid. Consequently, Ainsworth expects total revenue of approximately $116m for the first half of calendar year 2026. Underlying profit before tax is estimated at $5m, while EBITDA excluding currency impacts and one-off items stands at $17m.

Operational cash flows are projected at $8m. Net debt is expected to decrease to $8m, down from $11.8m recorded at December 31, 2025. The reduction results from the tariff refunds and stronger than anticipated cash collection.
